We are pleased to annouce that our annual conference will be held later this year at the Marriott hotel in Waltham Abbey.
It has proved quite difficult to find a suitable venue this year, prices have increased, and some hotel space has been allocated out to other needs thereby reducing function room spaces available, and we are always competing with wedding season. Therefore, for those wondering why it has gone from a Friday/Saturday to a Sunday/Monday, in doing so it has made it possible with what we are used to paying.
Having used this hotel before, we know there are some of our clubs closer to it, and therefore we hope it will atract those clubs to attend. Conference is an opportunity for members from across the country to meet and share ideas and create friendships, and we always have good fun whilst there. So please do support us with coming along.
When booking out large function rooms we do of course have to be able to meet a minimum number to make the event work, and so need your help with not only encouraging our ladies to come along to support our 80th conference, but also returning booking forms promptly.
Further details on the hotel can be found on their website, but it has free wifi, deluxe bedrooms, leisure facilities including a pool, and is 4* rated.
The price for conference includes the following:
- Pre dinner drink of a glass of Prosseco or Lemonade.
- Three course private dining Sunday night with a glass of wine.
- Some form of entertainment on the Sunday evening.
- Overnight stay with Breakfast.
- Monday conference day
- Servings of tea & coffee with sweet & savoury snacks morning and afternoon
- Buffet Lunch in the restaurant.
Accomodation is available as either sharing a twin room, or having your own double room as a single occupancy.
Prices as follows:
Sunday overnight and Monday conference day, sharing in a twin is £155.00
For a double for single use room there is a supplement of £40 so it is then £195.00
There is then the option of staying over Monday night if you wish, with Dinner bed & breakfast.
Prices on this are £125 if sharing in a twin room, or £175 in a double for single.
If you wish to attend the conference for just the day, the cost is £50pp.
