Details to follow
We hope you and your families are safe.
Who could have imagined that by September 2020 we would still be in the middle of a pandemic? The NAWC has had to cancel or postpone most of our events for 2020 though the Concert and lunch in the Liverpool area are still going ahead at the moment.
We are following the feedback on the new restrictions that were given out on Tuesday 8th September very closely and will come back to the secretaries as soon as we have any definite news. Some of our clubs were hoping to go back in September but a lot are waiting until January please try to keep in touch with each other as much as you can and let us know your plans and also how you have been keeping together during this time.
Here at Head Office we will be back in the office this month, albeit on a skeleton staff, Claire will be working from home just going into the office when necessary but Jackie will be back. Pauline and Eleanor are still on furlough for the time being.
Thank you to all clubs that have sent in their annual subscriptions, clubs have been notified that 2020 subscription will now go up to September 2021 giving an extra 6 months, from 1st October 2021 we will be asking for £8 this will then take the subscription up to 31st March 2022 . From 1st April 2022, hopefully, we will be back to normal.
The committee has been having regular zoom meetings and we have been keeping our secretaries informed every step of the way on decisions that have been made. We have also been sending a monthly ‘newsletter’ via the secretaries to all of you, our members; we hope you have been able to receive them.
We have sent out some guidance on what you may have to do if you do get back to club but these are only guidelines the Hall Management Committees will most probably have their own regulations.
We know it is hard but we must bear in mind if we all do as we are asked we could come through this pandemic a lot sooner, unfortunately there is still the element of young people who do not see this with raves, demonstrations and such like, we are sure they feel they have good reasons but not in the middle of a pandemic!
We will keep in touch and ever the optimist, 2021 diaries, calendars and a new design pack of Christmas cards are available from Head office. Please email or call and leave a message if you require any.
Also there is a strong possibility that Remembrance Services will not be taking place this year but you could still lay a wreath at your local cenotaph, these can be obtained from Head Office at £18.50 plus postage or direct from The British Legion 0345 845 1945 stating that you want the ones with the NAWC logo.
Another Newsletter will be out in October so until we meet again take care everyone.
