Fund Raising for Ovarian Cancer

  • March 13, 2019
  • News

On Tuesday March 12th Chris Burton, our Chairman together with Mary Bird Treasurer and Maureen Harwood Vice-Chairman presented a cheque for  £2,213.82 to Chantell Ojo and Kate Stannard of Target Ovarian Cancer. This money goes towards funding vital research of Ovarian Cancer and also in making ladies aware of the symptoms.  The money was raised again in their usual and unusual way sponsored walk, tea parties, bring & buys, suppers, walking over the 02 and many other functions. Thanks to all those who made this possible. We take very seriously the health of our members and will always do our best to help make them aware, ovarian can be cured if spotted early enough and we felt it was our responsibility to point this out to our members so a leaflet was sent to every member of the Association with their annual newsletter. A similar amount was raised for NAWC.

8th September 2022

To all members

Today is one of the saddest days that we will ever experience with the death of our beloved Queen.

For most of us she has always been a part of lives, she has been constant and steadfast in her role as monarch, never putting a foot wrong.

Her life was dedicated to us and she will be greatly missed by us all.

On behalf of The National Association of Women’s Clubs we send our condolences to her family.
