Joan Bramley
National Vice-Chairman/Single Rep for Area 1
Our Vice-chairman over Area 1 which covers the clubs in the North Derbyshire and North Warwickshire Associations plus single clubs in South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire is Joan Bramley who lives in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Joan has been a widow for 11 years after her Plumber/Heating Engineer husband of 44 years died in 2008. In her working life she was a Secretary to Engineering Managers in a large steel company and became a member of NAWC in 1986 by joining her local club where she quickly joined the Committee. After a few years she joined the local Association Committee culminating in being the Secretary then combined that position with being a Vice Chairman of the National Association of Women’s Clubs. Joan enjoys attending club events within her Area, therefore, drives many miles attending the clubs; local events plus the NAWC events so is getting a good geographical knowledge of the country.
