What We Do

It’s the regular meetings where we have fun and enjoy the companionship of others. This is what makes the clubs tick and gives our members an opportunity to hear interesting speakers, try new things and widen personal horizons.

We are however, a registered charity, and often act as an intermediary with Government departments regarding resolutions debated at the Annual Conference. This is how we get laws changed for the better.

In the past we’ve influenced legislation in many areas including Care Standards, Consumer Rights and Education. For more about our current activity see our Campaigns page.

Our central office is in Romford, from where we send information to our members and provide an advisory service. Each club is self- governing, choosing its own officers, meeting times and places. National events include: An Annual Conference, Carol Concert, One Day Workshops and Weekends at various venues. You can see our Calendar to find out when these events take place or visit “Your Local Club” page for a diary of local NAWC activities near you.

Want to meet new people and make new friends?

We meet up, have fun and create educational opportunities, the chance to build new skills and also campaign on issues that matter to our members and their communities.

To all members

Today is one of the saddest days that we will ever experience with the death of our beloved Queen.

For most of us she has always been a part of lives, she has been constant and steadfast in her role as monarch, never putting a foot wrong.

Her life was dedicated to us and she will be greatly missed by us all.

On behalf of The National Association of Women’s Clubs we send our condolences to her family.
